GARRY AVIANCE

Garry Aviance is a New York City based disc jockey. He is the producer of the Radio Mix Show “FRIDAYS” Formerly “Ride Da’ Beatz” since Jan 2009. (StickamRadio and 2dagroove). During his stint on this show he slowly but surely gathered a loyal following, Followers logged on every Friday night to simply hear Garry play and have a great fun time. As the word spread out, he has continued to gain a strong following. He took the kind of music that influenced him and added his own twists and blends which makes his sound truly unique. DJ Garry has also played in various local hotspots and private parties throughout New York City. Early History: Born in Puerto Rico, Garry at the age of 5 moved to the United States and settled in the Castle Hill section of The Bronx. “My early childhood, I remember spending hours listening to mix shows" Garry started promoting house parties back in 1989-1990, and his fascination with being a DJ grew even stronger. His influences have been a wide variety of DJ’s during the height of the New York club scene in the 90’s. Some of those names include Junior Vasquez, Lord G, Peter Rauhofer, Hex Hector, among others. “Growing up, I always loved dance music”. “When I hear a song that’s remixed so well, I absolutely fall in love with it. I remember that feeling and I love to see people’s reaction when they hear a remix of a song that’s done beautifully. It’s such a natural high and so gratifying when you see your listeners respond positively to a remixed song that you just played. Isn’t that what every DJ strives to do?” Growing up Garry had friends that would DJ at house parties and his passion for music grew. Garry would travel and work with them in all aspects of being a DJ. Garry is also very influenced by radio (believe it or not!!). Secretly, his music collection continues to grow, and still actively listens to other disc jockeys. With his ongoing experiences and a loyal following of fans, to this day people are becoming a part of the Dj Garry movement. He continues to master his musical/production training at DUB SPOT NYC. You can currently hear DJ Garry Aviance playing at Sobelnationradio Sundays 7-8pm. With the positivity that surrounds DJ Garry Aviance, it is a name that is growing strong in the NYC music scene.
